Flanders and Brabant were already relatively free and more urban, so they didn't really have a peasant revolt as such, but there were in the northern Low Countries, particularly in Guelders. England also benefited from a social peak of both knightly and middle class, which allowed for the successful combination of longbowmen and men-at-arms, which was to prove decisive.ДЇrance slowly but steadily lost its grip on Flanders, although they did find ways to deal with the Flemish, as they did with the English. Also, as the English had been at war for more or less half a century their soldiers were well-trained. Edward III managed to overcome enormous economic problems, due to the war, and gained a serious financial edge over the French. Starting and ending the century on pretty low points, the middle part of the century was nevertheless very successful. They were however generally disliked by the other lords of the HRE because they seemed to be too nepotistic, and they didn't get to provide an Emperor again afterwards.Д®ngland, apart from starting the HYW, also had two civil wars, one at the start (1320's) concerning the weak king Edward II, and one at the end (1390's) concerning the pretty dictatorial Richard II. The Bavarians had a significant powerbase in the Low Countries, controlling Holland, Hainaut and Liege by the end of the century, as well as having provided an Emperor (Ludwig IV iirc).

In terms of the Holy Roman Empire, the Swiss were a growing power and the Austrians were slowly abandoning their stakes there. They controlled Flanders and Brabant (the latter indirectly) by the end of the 14th century.
